During the week of April 24th through the 28th, Nativity 6th grade students worked with artists from Mad River Theater Works to write a short play and songs based on snippets of stories told by alumni and long-time parishioners Angela Davis, Tom Glenn, Mary Anne Phalen and Pat Sheeran. On Friday, April 28th, the 6th grade students and the designated parishioners, along with the artists enacted the play, “100 Years is a Mighty Long Way” for the entire school and parents.
Nativity PTA generously provided funding for this Artist in Residence program. Corporate sponsor for the program was Best Western Plus Hannaford Inn and Suites located at 5900 E. Galbraith Road in Kenwood. This Artist in Residence program at Nativity School was made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
