Celebrating a Century of Nativity! Learn more about our centennial celebrations!

On Saturday, June 3rd, more than 220 Nativity parishioners, school parents, alumni and friends gathered for the evening to celebrate 100 years of Nativity! The Courtyard and St. Sebastian Hall were beautifully decorated. Men’s Club Homebrewers came prepared with delicious brews for all to taste. Music provided by CSO pianist and parishioner Julie Klug set the tone for a lovely dinner catered by Steve Hellmich and Anita Contra in St. Sebastian Hall. The Refranes provided great music for the party in the Courtyard! Even Channel 9 showed up to film a clipping of the event for all those in the Tri-State to see on the 11 pm news on Saturday, June 3!

Many thanks to Centennial Celebration Committee members Doug and Patti Newberry (co-chairpeople); John and Robyn Van Rens (co-chairpeople); Russ and Angela Conrad; and Bob and Lisa Jennings for orchestrating this event. We are grateful to the many volunteers and Nativity staff members who helped with all the many details in making the event successful! We thank Julie Klug for providing music at dinner and The Refranes for music in the courtyard. We thank Brian Wendel and Dave Peter for hanging the lights above the courtyard. We appreciate all the Homebrewers who contributed their brews, Thane Lorbach for creating the awards, and Cavalier Distributing for sponsoring the event. We are most grateful to Father Paul for his participation and support of the celebration!  Finally, we thank the people of Nativity for always providing a welcoming sense of community that makes Nativity “a great place to be.”

“May our second century, like the first, be a period of faithful living, building on the foundation that has been laid by our ancestors and sharing the gift of faith with each other and those who follow us, “ said Father Paul.
