Feast of the Transfiguration

Dear Friends in Christ,

During my vacation I was informed that someone I was with while away from the parishes had tested positive for COVID-19. The good news is that since my contact with this individual occurred while I had absolutely no contact with staff or parishioners, no one in the Holy Trinity/Nativity pastoral region has been potentially exposed due to contact with me. As of my writing this letter, I am asymptomatic and have not yet been tested.

However, this does mean that I will self-quarantine for two weeks as a precaution. The office staffs will coordinate to locate priests for weekend Masses for the next two weekends. We will move forward with the new weekend Mass schedule beginning August 15/16. Implementing the new weekday Mass schedule will be delayed until I can safely return. The special 7:45am Mass for the feast of the Assumption on August 15 is cancelled. Please take the opportunity during this time to attend daily Mass at the Holy Spirit Center or at neighboring parishes.

More information about COVID-19 may be obtained at the websites of the Ohio Department of Health (https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/) or the Centers for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html).

Please continue to pray for an end to this pandemic and intercede for all who have been affected. Let us remain united by our Catholic faith in solidarity with others, especially those at risk and most vulnerable.

Thank you again for your continued prayers and  support.

In Christ through Mary and Joseph,

Father Eric
Pastor
Holy Trinity/Nativity Pastoral Region
