I am pleased to announce on behalf of our Pastor Fr. Eric Roush that our Parish School Principal for next school year will be Mrs. Lisa McCoy.
Lisa McCoy is a seasoned educator and administrator with a diverse background which has seen her teach and lead schools on 3 continents.
In her early life, growing up in Sylvania, OH, just outside of Toledo, Lisa attended St. Ursula Academy and St. Francis Education Center before completing a double major in Psychology and History at Rutgers.
A keen traveler and ever charitably minded, Lisa spent time building homes for needy communities in the Dominican Republic, mentoring in the Big Sister program, and teaching English in Argentina. Her passion for giving was nurtured during many trips to the Philippines throughout her youth to visit family and deliver aid to the less fortunate.
Fortunately, prior to undertaking her Masters in Education at the University of Toledo, Lisa took a break and spent time traveling around South America, where she met her husband, Tom, in Cusco, Peru. They lived in London, England, together for 7 years, during which time Lisa spent 5 years serving as Vice-Principal and Principal of the Ursuline Preparatory School in Ilford.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys reading, running, baking, knitting and dance, as well as hiking and camping with her family.
Lisa and Tom moved to Cincinnati in February 2017 with their first son Lucas and welcomed their second, Grayson, in 2018. She is excited to join the Nativity family and work together to continue the long tradition of excellence.
I know you join me in welcoming Mrs. McCoy into our community.
