If you drove by the campus today (March 26), you may have noticed cranes and a flurry of workers on the campus. With the campus closed, due to the need for social distance, the Building Services Department started work on a few summer projects early. By doing these projects now we can reduce the workload during the summer and allow these contractors to keep their workers employed during this difficult time. These projects were already in the pipeline for this summer and fully funded. The work being done is a new roof on the school building (26 years old), a new AC unit in the Cafeteria (22 years old), a new boiler in the school building (24 years old), and the new handicap accessible bathroom in church. It is important to not go through another winter with the roof in its current state, as well as replace the boiler which was cracked. The Building Services staff is also working on preparing the cafeteria for it’s remodeling. This week the wallpaper was removed, and the walls sanded which created a pretty dusty mess. Next week the team will prime the walls and get them ready for paint.
All contractors and the Building Services staff are following the Governors orders on social distancing and the requirements for essential businesses during the stay at home order. If you have any questions please contact Rudy Gruenke at 513-531-0209 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
