Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Breaking Open the Word
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a formation process that takes place in a specially prepared environment called the Atrium. Catechists invite children ages 3 to 9 to come spend time with God in the Atrium.
For more information on the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd contact coordinator Mary Lennard at (513) 532-7006. This Montessori-based process is highly effective with the children. Its emphasis is on the Eucharistic liturgy and the liturgical calendar feasts and seasons.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level 1, takes place on Sunday morning, 10:45-12:15, for preschool children as well as on Thursday morning, 9:30-11:00 AM. Children in grades 1-3 attend the Atrium on Thursday afternoons, 4:30-6:00 PM.
BOW (Breaking Open the Word) is a follow-up to the Atrium for children in grades 4-6. This class takes place on Thursday afternoons, 4:30-6:00 PM
Home Schooling for Religious Education: Parents may opt to do home schooling in the religious education of their children. Call Sr. Janet to learn what is involved in this option.
Junior High Religious Education involves preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Classes for those not in Nativity School are held two Sundays a month from 9:45-10:45 am in the Parish Office Chapel. See details under Confirmation. Registration forms are available in the parish office or via the links above.
