St. Vincent DePaul

Are you willing to help the needy through your presence and prayer? Are you a good listener? Are you willing to be an instrument of God’s mercy to those in need? Do you have time to make home visits during the day or on weekends? Do you want to help collect and distribute food bags at Thanksgiving and Christmas? Can you help with loading non-perishable donations in the SVDP truck in spring and fall?

Our mission is to provide spiritual and material assistance in our neighborhood. We answer calls for emergency temporary help for people who need food, clothing, or limited help with rent or utility bills due to temporary circumstances such as work layoff, delayed welfare or disability payments, illness or other family problems. Members visit clients in their home “two-by-two”. They listen to the circumstances of the emergency and provide appropriate assistance, then pray together with the client before leaving.

We appreciate the support of the parish through the second collection on the fourth Sunday of each month. The money for our work depends primarily on these donations.
