Religious Education

Our growth in faith never ends. Continually we grow in knowledge and understanding of who God is and how our belief in God affects our life. Religious education of children begins when their parents first attend a Baptism preparation program and continues in the home with everything the child observes. At preschool age parents can bring their child to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Later, joining our Nativity Catholic School or continuing in our catechesis program are the structured ways that Nativity Parish supports parents in their child’s religious education. Sacramental programs for Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation are additional formal supports. But ongoing opportunities for deepening spirituality, learning more about our Catholic faith, and integrating faith into everyday life are available through the parish adult faith formation program planned by Sr. Janet Schneider, our Parish DRE with the assistance of the Education Commission. Check the drop down menus to learn details about these programs.
