Weekly Encounters
Weekly Encounter with the
Risen Christ
The Weekly Encounters are intended for use in your Domestic Church during the Fifty Days of Easter. The order of prayer provided is the same week to week, with a different Gospel account of the Risen Lord’s appearance to his disciples, and to us. Each week, now through Pentecost, a new encounter will be proclaimed and prayed.
- The seventh Encounter is: Thomas Believes, John 20:19-31
- The sixth Encounter is: Meeting in the Upper Room, from Luke 24:35-48
- The fifth Encounter is: The Road to Emmaus, from Luke 24:13-35
- The fourth Encounter is: Mary Magdalene Encounters the Risen Lord, from John 20:11-18
- The third Encounter is: Peter and John Reach the Tomb, from John 20:1-10
- The second Encounter is: The Myrrh-Bearers at the Tomb, from Mark 16:1-8
- The first Encounter is: The Women at the Empty Tomb, from Luke 24:1-12.
